Other thoughts:
Titles can be wrong, especially pre-standard-VIN. It's just some
DMV dweeb typing them in at times.
It's really an SEL, and the tank really is full of diesel. Just some
of the love that it needs!

A lot of people (because of the relatively massive numbers of 123
300Ds sold
during the late-'70s early'80s oil crisis) think all old Mercedes are
diesels.
I would be willing to believe that some people don't even know what
"diesel"
means. (That set would have a non-empty conjunction with the set of
people
who call every six-cylinder engine a V6 and every manual
transmission a
5-speed.)
