I use Windows Live on my Windows machines. For a home computer it works fine.
Easy to set up email accounts, easy to import mail, easy to migrate mail
between accounts. It supports nested folders for email storage also. I have no
complaints. The folders for backing up my email were pretty easy to find also.
I do not know how well it plays with other email clients, I upgraded from
Outlook Express.
Someday I will make a go at Thunderbird on my Linux machine. Currently I just
use web based email on that.
