The next house I build will have 8" walls full of cellulose and passive solar
features. I wouldn't want to be as dependent on outside electricity as we were
35 years ago. An oil burner backed up by a wood boiler would be more my style.

Detached wood furnaces were banned by a local town {West Hartford, CT} last
month. I'm not sure I would want to be surrounded with them. Most folks would
have no clue on running them clean.
