If anyone wants a project, you can put pretty much any VW or Audi
gasoline engine in there using the diesel bellhousing, or a TDI if you
are really wanting to keep it a diesel.
Or a Subaru flat-four or flat-six. Subaru engines go with Vanagons
like chocolate and peanut butter.
