For the 111, there are an unbelievable number of possible combinations. for Std, HD and Taxi service, and several choices for top, and several choices for bottom, and several choices for springs and shocks, according to accessories, region of the world for delivery, transmission, and type of service, and maybe more. I have no reason to believe there are fewer choices for cars made 20 years later to tune the suspension to the application. DB built cars for all over the world, at that time, and not just for the NA market. For springs alone, there are three different color markings, and 1, 2 or 3 stripes of each color. You do the math. That is a whole lot of choices. If my math is correct, there are up to 27 choices for springs alone. (not all would apply to the 111 chassis application)

I put taxi springs and new pads in a 220Sb years ago, and the hardest part was trying to figure out what top and bottom "pads" to get because the markings on the old ones were long gone.

What I ended up with was a car that stood up nicely, and rode a tad higher than the other 111s that were around at the time (worn) It had a more sporty handling, but the ride was still good.

So, Woger, look it up. It is all in the paper manual called "Passenger cars from 1959"

Piffle. Tell me how many different rear spring pads there are or were for
the model in question. Must be dozens according to your story.
