My 82 300D had sheepskin covers that I needed to get off.  I had to remove the 
seatback cover, then WD40 the button.  After that I was able to get the 
headrest off.  I thought I was going to break the seat.  You'll need the 
seatback cover off if you want to remove the armrest as well.
