Sorry, I should have be more clear. I just between F and C all the time. I was educated at a time in Canada, where we were just changing over to metric. While metric is official, it's not uncommon to hear people still use Imperial. Especially with things like building materials. I always order food by the pound, not kilo. Speed is pretty much metric, and it sounds more impressive too. lol. I jump back and forth with temps, but I tend to lean more towards your system. To say it's 100 out, everyone knows it hot. To say it's 42C, doesn't sound quite as impressive.
100 is a nice natural number. 100 degrees F is hot, 100 mph is fast, 100 lbs. of chicken is a big BBQ. ;-) Ed 300E On 29 August 2010 09:48, Curt Raymond <curtlud...@yahoo.com> wrote: > At the extremes (1 or 2 days a year) we have something like a 120 degree > spread... > > Oh wait, thats American degrees. 100 degree spread in Canadian degrees is > more impressive. > > -Curt > > Date: Sat, 28 Aug 2010 18:52:11 -0500 > From: OK Don <okd...@gmail.com> > To: Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> > Subject: Re: [MBZ] was Ring 2.2, now showroom visit > Message-ID: > <aanlktintk_loypwczu6dsw1tp1nax26n9tp0xmrls...@mail.gmail.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 > > We do have over a 100 temp spread, closer to 108 or 110 spread - but we > have > more summer than winter, the opposite of you. > > On Fri, Aug 27, 2010 at 10:15 PM, E M <pokieba...@gmail.com> wrote: > > > We get lots of hot and humid too as you probably know.
