According to the "Model Year 1986 Model 126 Supplement" which Steve Nervig helpfully included in his 126 FSM index, the test procedure for the Klima is exactly the same between 124 and '86-on 126. If you follow the whole procedure you can test all the input and output signals at the pins of the Klima socket (and, therefore, of course, deduce, if necessary, that it is faulty, if all the inputs and outputs are correct but your compressor still isn't turning on when it should). Along the way you get to test the A/C pressure switches, the fan switch, and the compressor speed sensor, if I recall correctly. I've emailed the file directly to Wilton.
