Christmas indeed!  The 124 was offered with a fivespeed transmission, so
you may be able to order the cross member for a reasonable fee, and
drive shafts are out there, but may be easier to have one custom made.

Complete 5spd 201 swap. I was surprised to see that all the rubber was
like new, still shiny an no cracks.
Now to figure out the driveshaft and cross member for the W124....
