I can honestly say that is the first time I have ever heard
anybody say dont get a dovetail. I could not imagine trying to
load a car without it. I have never got stuck anywhere from the
back dragging. Sounds like he didnt have the trailer loaded
properly and it was pushing the back down more than it should.

I have been needing a trailer, see this one. At a pawn shop,

says it has a "box" for brakes, does not know if they work. She
thinks
it has 5000lb axles (is there anyway to check the load rating?)
but some
of these things are 7000lb and 10000lb. I'm thinking $1500 max, if
that. New ones are like $3500, so even if it needs some work...
