Everything Alex said, I second. AC could just be a oring, or a compr
or the evap. that is a total crapshoot.
Seats are some upholstery shop recover. Appears to have 4" speakers
added in the front door panels. Residue from leaking coolant is
common at the front left side, in front and below the #1 plug. It
may or may not go 50k miles as is, it it shows seepage there.

biodegradable harness? what's up with those seats? $600 car?
No self-destructing harness, that started in the early '90s.
The seats are leather (not Tex), and they don't match the rest of the
interior. Looks like someone took seats from another 124 and had them
recovered by an upholstery shop when they started to split in the
usual place (the middle). I like the two-tone. A lot of cars have
that look now from the factory.
"AC needs repair"---at least the seller's honest.
$500-$1000 sounds about right to me, depending on the condition of the
body and the rest of the paint; whether it needs immediate suspension
work to drive right (a 124 with a loose rear end is a deathtrap); the
amount of oil leakage around the timing chain cover (they all do it,
some more than others); and whether there's any sign of an impending
blown head gasket (common on M103s).
