I thought there were only three 617 cams.
Soft, small bearings, low lift, low duration. (up through early 1979)
Hard, small bearings, low lift, low duration, uses the new followers (late 1979)
Hard, large bearings, high lift, long duration, uses the new followers
(1980-1985) The big lobes on the high lift cam wouldn't fit through the old
bearings, so they redid the cam towers in the head.
Am I missing something?
