- Might the starter not be disengaging? Is that really a failure mode for a 603, and how would I be able to tell if that was it?
Ours did that once, but I wasn't there. (Wife was.) It wouldn't stop, and started smoking before it finally released itself. It got a new starter shortly thereafter.
