They are going to push for that, and for the US (maybe Canadian too,
wouldn't be surprised) taxpayer to pick up all their pension obligations
too, whether by bankrupty or otherwise. Sweet deal for the union
workers all around -- get paid whether you work or not, great pension
bennies paid for by the taxpayer. Oh, and I'm sure the really really
smart high-paid GM execs will get theirs too.
Build crap for years, lose market share, keep negotiating those great
deals, get your exec perks, then throw it all on the taxpayer.
