One corn fed bambi will wipe out 2 fenders, hood and grille, and at
least one headlight assy. Easily $5000 damage. Being backed into by
a new pickup or a one ton will do the same. Definitely something to
inspect closely.

Not necessarily. If the impact was bad enough to mess up the whole
front end with both front fenders requiring replacement then one
would expect to see more issues with the door alignment wouldn't
one? The rest of the car looks reasonably intact so perhaps the
replacement of the front clip was related to something more minor.
Rust? Someone backed a big pickup truck into the front end in a
parking lot etc.?
