I ordered touch-up paint by paint code for the '90 300D, it arrived,
the weather is warm for Nov. (60's). So I want to apply it, but
realized that Snook has been washing and waxing this car religiously,
which is one of the reasons I bought it. Therefore, the scratches I'm
about the touch up, undoubtedly have wax in and around them. What's
the proper way to prepare for brushing on a little bit of paint? I'm
talking about a few nicks a quarter the size of a pencil eraser, and
one key scratch about 12 inches long and 1/64th inch wide.

3M makes several prep products that are VERY reliable.
