What are you folks paying for propane?

1.999 per US gallon last year, 2.399 this year, plus sales tax.
Tank rental built into the price. That's for prepaying in July for October-April's propane.

I assume Canadian pricing would be different.

How does a gallon compare to a pound?

If I fill my 20# BBQ tank at a local gas station, I pay $1 per pound. That gets a bit expensive for the generator. I cannot recall what the manual suggests on a pounds per hour basis but it is not good.

Our local Costco sells the 20# for about $12 so somewhat better.

I cannot justify a BIG tank and have no place to put it anyway so my best bet if I want to go with propane, is a couple of 100# tanks.
