Do you have no vac from the switchover array to the pod, or no vac at the pod? Those right angle fittings get old and leak, and the plastic lines can break. The servo is also usually the first one to fail -- I think you can replace it without removing the whole dash.
The W124 ACC pushbutton unit does not suffer from bad solder joints by the way, only the W123 one. Peter
