On this car there is a butterfly valve just before the EGR which operates in concert to restrict clean intake air so that exhaust gas flow from the EGR is increased when called for. I wired the butterfly valve in the full open position, then plugged the hose for the EGR. Later I'll fashion a blocking plate.
Doing that to a 90s vintage turbo would put the car in limp mode. I'm not sure what, if anything, it would do to a NA OM606.
