Exactly what I found on my W116 300SD. I changed fuel filters and the O-ring on the hollow bolt broke in several pieces. It was brittle and hard like bakalite. The O-rings on the oil filter stem pipe were in the same condition. I ordered a new O-rings from Rusty but if you know the sizes are you may be able to find them locally.
