A few months ago we had a thread about jack stands. I remember most agreed the Esco tripod is the best.
In Northern Tool catalog there are two very similar 3 ton tripod jack stands. One is the Esco for $80 each. The other is a Torin for $28 each. They both weigh about the same and have the same lift heights. The only difference I can see is the tripod of the Esco looks like box sections and the Torin looks like angle irons. Is the Esco worth $52 more for each? That is more than $200 additional for a set of 4. Anybody had experience with both?
