I have an inquiry in at a Viking parts dealer to make sure I am looking at the right valve. I don't think the part that's wobbly is involved in the gas control itself; rather it's the "child safety" mechanism that is supposed to prevent the valve from turning out of the "off" position unless you are pressing in on the knob. But if there's any doubt, I'll just get a new one, you're right for the price it's not a big deal.
I paid more than I was hoping to; the price escalated in the final minutes. However I did pay less than my predetermined maximum so I think I ended up getting a decent deal, especially considering it includes the exhaust hood. That is, assuming there's not a lot of other problems with it. Allan On Tue, Feb 14, 2012, at 08:27 AM, Dan Penoff wrote: > I agree with Grant.
