If I needed wheels, i's consider this one. especially if it had 3 pedals. Not a bad price for a car that should easily run another 100-200k miles.

A 240D is great for buzzing around metro areas or commuting. They are not the best if the drive requires fast acceleration, or 80 MPH speeds. But for 0-60 driving, a 240D is great.

One difference between a 240D and a 300D is that the 240D will do better mileage around town. A Diesel will inherently not lose as much MPG average in town as a gasser.

Plus in place of being in a minicar death trap, you have the protection of a real MB.
