been thinking of that. No permit is needed in  Alaska AT ALL to carrry a 
concealed weapon. I think I would have my  PPK/S and AR-15 carbine transferred 
to an FFL in some AK gun shop along  the route and pick them up there and ship 
back the same way.

And git yer passports in order or you might not be let back into your
own country! Things have changed since 9/11, especially in the past
year. Used to be a simple driver's license was sufficient. I wouldn't
bet on it nowadays.

JB Weld, a very fine glue, is not the best for this kind of thing.  It's
brittle, and will pop off the plastic under stress.  I've been having 
much
more luck with Shoe Goo on plastic parts.  Very strong, yet a bit 
flexible.

JB Weld is currently what's holding the hood star together on the
