Gotchya. Good idea. Will make note of that and  drop him a line. I do think 
this would make an intersting story. I'd  enjoy reading about it.
  
  Wonder what it costs to have a custom grille badge made? Several  hundred $ 
for the die and a little machining and some painting (wife  could do the

Well it all depends on the price and what year it is.  From what you 
describe it should be PRETTY cheap.  If you get the vin we can run it 
for you.
