Dan, the belt is probably about a year old or less. Whenever i replaced them on that car all I had to do was remove the two shrouds in the back of the radiator. The shroud assembly is too wide in its entirety to come out with the space given but they made it two part so that it can be removed without removing the radiator or fan. It's a clever design but some care has to be taken to ensure that tangs go where they're supposed to under the radiator as well as for the rotating tabs of the shroud. This will make sense when you see it. You start by pulling the overflow hose retainer out of the one shroud which will unlocks and allows it to rotate. You can then remove the forward part of the shroud after the clips are removed. This leaves enough space for the back part of the shroud to then be removed.
With the right combination of sockets the tensioner can be manipulated without removing anything else. However if you've not worked in that space it's hard to imagine the location you need to get to. A small mirror is your friend here. Hope this makes sense. I'm trying to force myself to use my iPad more but frankly think my android phone or laptop are still better choices for the way I use these things.
