On the other hand there are some studies that suggest that people individually have a certain internal "risk tolerance" and if you give them safety systems like all-wheel drive and ABS and radar and night vision, etc. they will just drive more aggressively up to the point where their internal sense of "risk" is back at its limit, at least partially offsetting the benefit of the safety systems.
