I missed out on a 1984 300SD this weekend. I saw the ad on Friday but
went out of town on Saturday and by Sunday it had been sold.
The price was reasonable for a local car - probably high by what you
folks down south expect.
I sort of know the seller as I sold him a boat a couple years back. He
saw my 300D at the time and told me he had the SD so we talked a bit.
His answer for why he was selling it was that fuel prices have risen to
the point where he is looking for a VW TDI.
