Went for $74k at the auction this afternoon. Was black/black, pretty nice shape. Afterwards I talked to the woman who was selling it and she was a bit disappointed that it did not draw more. Oh well. She looked like she did not need the extra few $k. There was another 600, gold with an avocado/pea-green interior (I use the term avocado/pea-green instead of the baby product color it more closely resembled) that was also on the block, it was nicer shape but I missed what it went for, but I think it was much less than RoyO's, maybe in the 30s. Both had TVs in the back, like 9" tubes. Very Bond-ish.

A Bentley Turbo R, red/black, beautiful went for $12k. That engine bay was crammed with motor and a turbo sitting at the top right front next to the alternator. That did not look good to me, but all the bits were in good shape. Would have been an interesting buy for no more than it went for.

A decent looking 64or5 230SL 4spd sold for $12k, about the right price, needed a bit of body/paint work but it was a pretty little car.

A '34 or so custom-bodied Deusy went for $1.375M, awesome car, I could see myself in it. Take a week just to polish the chrome. It sounded sweet too.

The tobacco-settlement lawyer who was selling a bunch from his collection bought that Jay Leno HD motorcycle with all the signatures on it for $1M, it was being recycled from some other charity thing (9-11?) it originally sold for to a Katrina charity.

Lots of 60s/70s muscle, some 50s stuff. A 90? 560SEC went for $6k, looked nice, seemed to be running well, was in good shape.

I did not buy anything, though there was a blinged-out Hummer that looked really really nice.

Oh, and there were some Astons on display, I liked the black DB9 convertible, though the interior color was sort of a blah papaya red/orange, and it looked awful for $188k.

Some people were parading around these large horses, Gypsy Vanners, that look like smaller Percherons, they had a colt that was very cute, and a breeding stallion that was extremely gentle. I had been eating a candy cane, and noticed something breathing on my neck, I turned around and there was a big (huge) nose and mouth "RIGHT THERE" trying to get a sniff or a chunk. Was too funny, like my dog trying to give kisses. He was a bit big to do a belly rub, but he liked his chin scratched.
