I found a nearly identical car last year in Seattle for $600 but wouldn't take $2500 for it now that all the bugs are worked out. Manual climate control is wonderful. AC actually works. It's been an absolutely superb daily driver for 6 months now but may hand the keys to one of the kids who needs a car. The other 240D (75 W115) is still running daughter to and from UW campus but sustained cosmetic battle damage from late night hit and runs by frat row kids.

One of the failure modes. You need a thermometer in the pan to derive the most information from this test. > MPG = 23, is that about right? Maybe a tetch low, but not being up to full operating temperature hurts mileage. -- Jim
