Has anyone on here ever had their automobile tank dipped to test for red
fuel? I understand its possible but in the 9 years and about 150,000 miles
I've been driving a diesel I've never had or seen it happen...

Wouldn't they need at least probable cause if not a warrant to inspect
your fuel tank? It's not readily observable.
