Well, they may be ugly but I know from experience with my 76 300D, that
it sure would be nice to have a cup holder.
I have one of those cups with the great wide bottom and can set it in
the tray by the shifter but even that is awkward.
I have another taller, narrower cup that seals very well and I can set
it on the floor wedged against the passenger seat but sometimes it gets
away.
Integrated cup holders are a nice feature of newer vehicles.
My 02 Supercrew has spots for 4 cups in the front and 2 in the back.
