The last lenovo I needed serviced got a new motherboard and power button. For whatever reason, the power button had failed. I'm not even sure it needed a motherboard. The guy who had it complained his laptop would shut off and got hot. Oddly the fan was not what I would consider dusty, but it was blown out. Is the fan cooling unit properly attached to the CPU? Since the new motherboard/power button was installed there have been no problems.
