Folks,
If you remember, a month or so ago, i pulled the plug off of the back
of the ignition switch of Daughter's 84 300D turbo and opened the
plug and mixed all the wires up. I opened the plug because the wires
are a bit cobbled together and spliced.
We some difficulty i sorted them as below to the various
terminals .... i hope the color codes are correct
P30 green/white
15R green/red
50 violet/white
30 red
15x red/yellow
30 red again
15 red/black
anyway, i solved the problem of the switch not actuating the starter
by changing the ignition lock cylinder, the old one wouldn't turn to
the start position
THEN we addressed another problem, that of a collapsed engine mount.
Amazingly, all of the allen screws came out easily, probably because
the entire area had been soaked in ATF since i had some bad power
steering hoses, one supply and one pressure line that i replaced.
Daughter and i easily replaced the left engine mount.
NOW there is a new problem .... the radio doesn't work and the
windshield wipers don't work
everything else seems to work
i did check the wiper fues (#6 if my memory is correct)
