Ohh and I forgot to mention, that the emergency control centre, which is supposed to control the nukes to blow up nasty asteroids, gets wiped out by a little asteroid.

Hendrik
who would have built the control centre in a better location

That reminds me, I was watching one of those modern B grade movies, this one was about Mercury getting stuffed up by the Sun and then hitting Earth or some such dribble. Can't remember the name of it right now but it's worth watching, actually no, it's complete trash. For instance at start of movie flight engineer on space craft screams "I can't help you fly this, I am not trained" later on in movie she pilots (on her own) the space craft, through a pile of asteroids all the while the computer is announcing "chance of successfully navigating asteroids is 10000 to one" maybe she read the owners manual? Anyway another highly believable plot development, only people to pick up emergency transmission from aforementioned space craft.........couple of kids with home build radio, who naturally enough are not far away from the people the space craft pilot wants to talk to.

Hendrik
who really needs to stop watching crap

If you were a ham you could point an antenna at it and perhaps talk to the
