Well, I DID spend 3 summers in the Mojave Desert (George AFB near
Victorville), too, ya know, but 'don't think I ever saw 153 F or so,'less it
were in my van before startup on a summer afternoon. 'Had front and rear AC
evaporators in it.
BTW, 'had -50F ambient for few days coupla times in Greenland. Any time
temp was -45 or below, my truck (base emergency command post) had to run
continuously; did it for 2 weeks twice. At -50 it doesn't take much breeze
to get chill factor way on down there.
