Do you know the people? Bag it up and take it to their house "I think you forgot something, its called courtesy."
We always walk our dog on a leash (which is the law 'round these parts) and thus he doesn't run way up somebody's lawn. I try to get him to do his business in our yard but sometimes the walk gets things moving and a dogs gotta do what a dogs gotta do. We carry bags and pick up after him. Sure a little gets left behind but thats gone the first time it rains. Once I didn't have a bag and went back later with one, the homeowner stepped out and said he thought sure I'd never come back. I pointed out that we live just around the corner and good neighbor relations are important to me. Wish that was true for more people... -Curt Date: Mon, 18 Feb 2013 15:07:13 -0500 From: "WILTON" <wilt...@nc.rr.com> To: "mercedes list" <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Subject: [MBZ] OT - human nature Message-ID: <A5C2CCA7B1F04BD387E0733A54A4CD14@wiltonPC> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Why do so many people think it's O K to take their dogs to a neighbor's yard to "do their business?" 'Was standing at kitchen sink few minutes ago and watched a mommy with coupla children and a dog (not on a leash - not that it makes any difference in this case). As they sauntered past the house, dog was exploring the entire yard thoroughly; I thought to myself, "He's gonna leave a 'gift,' for sure." Shonuff - 'stopped right in middle of that half of front yard, directly in front of me and left a "nice" one. I wanted to rush to front door and ask the lady, "Do you really think it's OK to bring your dog to my yard to do his business?" But I held the urge and let 'em go without comment. So, why? Cause they usually get away with it, or is it the usual "People just don't give a damned?" Same as throwing trash on the street or in somebody else's yard. What's happened to integrity - the ability to do what is right when nobody else is watching? Rant merely pausing; 'can resume at a moment's notice. ;<) Wilton _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com For new and used parts go to www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
