His 14 year old brother hooked up an electric gasoline pump and forced the fuel through the lines till diesel was squirting out all the little rubber return lines at the injectors (alarming them both) - started right up, ran with no problems. He bypassed the water separator with a hose like I said and then made sure all the return hoses were tight. On the firewall would have been better - we wouldn't have had this problem. Bent rods don't come up as far. Also measure the roundness of the cylinders at top, middle, and bottom.
