I believe there are different potency levels for oxy just like other drugs,
could be you're on a low level.

Years ago when I broke my wrist the doc gave me vicodin for the pain which was
occasionally considerable. One day after work my wrist was quite swollen and
pushing on the inside of the cast. It was all I could do to drive home. Once I
arrived I popped a pill and sat down to wait. Half an hour later I was still
feeling the full effect of the pain and as the bottle said "take one or two for
pain" I popped another.

Vicodin for me was an interesting drug in that it didn't seem to take away the
pain but instead made me not care much.

As soon as I took the second pill the first took effect and it wasn't long
before I was lying sideways across the bed convinced that I didn't have any
bones. Angie came home from work and wanted to go out to dinner but I was in NO
condition to be out in public. By this time I was getting worried my bones
would never come back and wondering how I was going to live the rest of my life
without bones.

As soon as the cast came off I threw the pills away.

So what are the symptoms of being hooked on oxys? How does one avoid it?
I don't experience any particular rush when I take the meds to alleviate
the pain that starts when they wear off.

Perhaps I should change to a lower-potency drug when I get back to Los
Alamos.
