You guess right.  HOF-1234yf, aka R-1234, aka 2,3,3,3-Tetrafluoropropene,
is not a common hydrocarbon like propane, but it does have similar
properties in terms of suitability as a refrigerant and mild
inflammability.  Supposedly it is a drop-in replacement for R-134a.  (I
seem to recall R-134a being advocated as a drop-in replacement for R-12,
and we know how well that worked out...)
