Probably would work for Grant, but not practical for most of the rest of the world. Where EV density is enough to support this, the population is too dense to allow the space for it. And that is not taking the cost into consideration. The cost of putting up and maintaining one of those things has got to be way higher than what its worth. (As Luther pointed out)

I assume you would have to feed a "charging meter" to charge your car.  It
just looks cool.
