The one I had I paid 9K for and it had the gasket replaced just before I got it, Todd Knutson had 2(one was the one I had) and the other one also had head gasket problems. I know of 3 or 4 other people who have had head gasket problems as well. Its the blowing out at the timing chain problem I believe. Blows oil out the tail pipe.

They ALL have head problems. The 2.5 dont crack heads, but the gaskets usually go bad at some point over their lives. Its usually blowing oil out, not coolant though. I wont say the ALL have the problem, but I know all the ones I know of personally have.

NOT true. Fewer than 4% (less than 1 in 20) of OM60x engines have experienced blown head gaskets (when I count up the reports). It's rare, but still, the gaskets were redesigned in the late '80s so that the newer OM60x engines blow head gaskets even less often.

Now a LOT more of the OM60x engines that Kaleb looks at (ones that sell for less than $500) WILL have blown head gaskets!
