If you mess with it and they know you did, no more warranty. (hold it, is this a home warranty where they send the lowest priced idiot to make it worse, or is it the original warranty on the heat pump?) I assume you know to flood with nitrogen for brazing so you don't get black crud inside the line.

Sounds like a copper coil, any chance you can get a warranty replacement with an aluminum coil that won't fail?
