I'm certainly no luddite - I've had a computer since 1982 and my current house is wired to the max. I can even understand wanting to geek out a car - I've got a home PC that was installed briefly in a car as an MP3 player in the pre-iPod days.
But I love older cars for their simplicity. I -like- crank-down windows and an engine I can actually have a hope of working on. The the electrical gremlins go nuts, they can really screw things up that only a highly paid garage can service.
