About 35,000 miles since i installed the system. I probably averaged 75%
vegoil during that time. 35000 miles x.75 = 26,250 miles / 20 mpg = 1312
gallons x $3.50 per gallon = 4592.00. System cost including filtering costs,
setup, installation, incidentals, etc. $2800.00.
Net without labor cost = 1792.00
Note this is a ballpark estimate, I did not record or keep a running total of
my mileage or costs. I have never paid for oil. Fixed cost was $1800.00 for
Frybrid Kit which included a welded aluminum 17 gallon tank and all lines,
hoses, controller and electronics. I paid $500 for a electric motor, pump, and
centrifuge to filter oil. The additional costs were for piping, water heater,
and mistakes.
Make your own conclusions. I enjoy doing this, it is fun and I enjoy driving by the fuel station.

the system? How much did the system cost?
Just trying to get a handle on how worth it such a system really is.

I am scheduled to drop off my car on Thursday and hoping the pump that Mitch so
kindly provided will solve all of my starting problems. It is taking more and
more cranking to to get it fired up.
The estimate for removing the old pump, installing the new one and making all
of adjustments is $425.00. With the veg oil system to work around I thought it
was pretty reasonable.
