You're right Dan... its sad to see a good original car "customized" to death. Value is in originality. Next step for this car will be the junk yard, almost certainly. Most folks lack the skill to make all the details of such a conversion work. If the same money and effort was put into the original drivetrain, the owner would have something impressive and desirable. And valuable.
