I've been using Deoxit on bolts with surprisingly good results since Deoxit
is primarily a contact cleaner. Acetone-ATF 1:1 is my second choice.

I had exactly the same issue on my '83 240D. Never did solve it, sorry.
One thing I can tell you is that WD-40 is a lousy lubricant. Try a real
penetrant, PB Blaster is probably the worst of the better bunch, lots of
people swear by ATF and acetone mixture.

So I cannot get to the rear bolts. I've tried wd40 to lube it up, and the
seat just won't ramp up for the life of me.
The bottom of the seat is literally torn to shreds, think I'd be able to
get at that track assembly if I removed it?
