Anything from HF with more than one moving part is likely to fail sooner rather than later. That said, I bought one of their big wet tile saws, and was quite pleased with it. It took some occasional "maintenance" but it did very well. And the $20 recip saw is still going strong, surprisingly, after getting used quite severely.

Some of you responded awhile back regarding my post inquiring about a random orbit
polisher/waxer as I've been getting tired of waxing my cars by hand. I ended up
going cheap (Harbor Freight Chicago 10" Random Orbit Polisher/Waxer, Model
43424) and I'll be returning it tomorrow for a refund/replacement as something broke
internally as there were little metal pieces being tossed about. I wasn't able to
wax my '85 300TD completely before this occurred, thank goodness it's only ~1M old
and their warranty is 90 days. This info. just in case any of you are considering
the same thing . . . a word of warning.
