Ooooh, I wonder if there was a CA only tank. Yours is a federal (ie 49 state) car? I wonder if you put a CA tank in and maybe its not exactly the same shape as the federal model. Only thing I can come up with would be if the tank is supposed to be grounded to the chassis and maybe the coating on the new tank is preventing a good ground?
