Remove oil drain plug and see what comes out with the oil after parking with
pan sloped downward toward drain plug.

Well I took the belts off, took off the vacuum pump and took off the valve
cover.
Everything is good there nothing loose. Started the engine and the noise
is still there but I can tell now that it seems to come from the oil pan.
Could it be the oil pump? Even though the gauge says there is plenty of
pressure. Don't really want to take it all apart to check as that looks to
be as much work as just putting another engine in.
